Our Library System is under attack!

On Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, the Jackson County Commissioners discussed removing the Jackson County Library from the Fontana Regional system which would decimate funding and resource access for all of the six libraries in Jackson, Macon, and Swain counties. This is just the latest effort to dismantle the FRL system, which has been under attack for four years from a small, special interest group.
This does not represent the majority of voters and residents of the three counties affected. We have to show up and save our libraries.
